Skincare Routine Favorites

Hey lovelies!

If you've followed my blog at all you know how much I love sharing my favorite products, especially beauty products, with my readers. I'm always sharing new things I've picked up or had a chance to try, as well as my old favorite standbys. This post is dedicated specifically to skincare. These are all skincare items that are in my current beauty routine that I swear by!

Before I get to the products, I wanted to let you know that this post is not sponsored in any way, but it does contain affiliate links, which means that if you happen to purchase an item through the link, I get compensation for it (a very, very small percentage). I've also included regular links to the brand websites too, but in cases where the item can be found cheaper somewhere else (like on Amazon) I let you know and linked you to the better deal (where I purchased it from). I'm just sharing a good deal when I see one!

Clarisonic Mia Sonic Facial Cleansing System | $98

I love my Clarisonic Mia! I've been using it for about a year now and I feel like it's definitely helped improve the texture of my skin and improve the look of my pores. Plus, it's an amazing exfoliator and it feels like it cleans my face so much better than just my hands or a washcloth (it says it cleans 6 times better). The Mia is a very basic version of the Clarisonic with just one universal speed for normal skin, which is perfect for me. It's waterproof and rechargeable- I can go about 2 weeks without charging it and I take it on vacation with me and don't have to worry about bringing the charger. I debated on whether or not to get one of these for years and finally took the plunge. I'm so happy I did! I use my Clarisonic every night to thoroughly clean my skin at the end of the day.

Neutrogena Fresh Foaming Cleanser | $6.49

Years ago, when I was battling some major acne breakouts, a dermatologist recommended this face wash instead of the harsh, acne-medicated ones I was using. Ever since then, I've seen a huge change in my skin. I love this cleanser because it really cleans my face and gets rid of all traces of makeup, dirt, and oil without being harsh on my skin. It's soap-free, oil-free, won't clog pores, and is hypoallergenic. I use it with my Clarisonic every night.

I wrote this blog post about my amazing discovery of ACV as a great acne-fighting toner almost 4 years ago now, and I'm still using it to this day. Make sure to read the blog post on how to mix and dilute the ACV- you definitely don't want to start with straight ACV unless you like to feel the burn. It's seriously amazing. I use it every morning to keep breakouts from happening and it also makes my face less oily throughout the day.  If you're an acne sufferer, try it! It's the only thing that's worked for my problem skin and I rarely have a breakout at all anymore.

L'oreal Youth Code Serum Intense | $24.99

Here's some inside info: I used to work for Lancome, which is a L'oreal company. Lancome and L'oreal have some very, very similar products with different names, different packaging, and almost identical ingredients. One of my favorite Lancome serums, Genifique, retails for $78/oz, and it's dupe, L'oreal Youth Code, is $24.99/oz. I've used both products and I can't tell the difference between them, and they both deliver virtually the same results! It makes my skin super soft and smooth, helps diminish fine lines and wrinkles, and evens out my skin tone. I really notice a difference in my skin when I use this Youth Code Serum! I use this morning and night before moisturizing.

Hey Honey Open Your Eyes eye contour lifting cream | $31

I recently added this eye cream to my beauty routine after receiving it in my January Ipsy Glam Bag, and since then it's also been featured in my latest Beauty Favorites post. Eye creams are generally one of those things on a constant rotation in my bathroom. I'm always trying new products and trying to find the best eye cream, and right now, Hey Honey is it. I love how lightweight this cream is- it's almost a mix between a serum and a cream, and it doesn't cake up under my makeup. I feel like it really does help relieve the puffiness under my eyes and and helps tighten the skin to improve the appearance of fine lines. I use this morning and night.

Aveeno Positively Radiant daily moisturizer | $12.79

This moisturizer made it into my rotation when I worked with AVEENO for a social media contest promotion last summer, and I stuck with it because I liked it so much. Because my skin tends to be a little oily, I need a lightweight moisturizer during the day to keep my skin from feeling tight and with SPF to protect my skin from the sun (so important all year round). This award winning daily moisturizer is clinically shown to improve texture, tone, dullness, brown spots, and blotchiness while still being oil-free, hypoallergenic, and non-comedogenic (doesn't clog pores). If you're looking for a basic moisturizer with SPF for daytime wear that doesn't feel heavy, this stuff is great!

Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate | $46

I've been using this facial oil every night for about 3 years now and it's been amazing, even for my slightly oily skin. You'd think putting an oil on your face at night would make it more greasy, but it doesn't. It's amazing for regenerating, restoring, and replenishing for smooth and healthy looking skin

The following products are extras, or products I use as needed:

up & up Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelletes | $3.39

These little cleansing wipes are great to have when I'm extra tired and need to remove my makeup quickly and easily. They're also great for removing eye makeup! Pick some up next time you're at Target.

The Body Shop Vitamin C Microdermabrasion | $23

I've mentioned this microdermabrasion scrub a few times on my blog before and it's one of my favorites. I love to use it once or twice a week in the shower when I need some extra exfoliation.

Biore Deep Cleansing Pore Strips | $7.49

These strips are great to have when I feel like my pores need a really, really deep clean. I use one every couple of weeks on my nose to remove those pesky blackheads!

Boots Botanics Ionic Clay Mask | $9.39

I use this mask once every week or two as needed to control extra oil. It's made with willowbark, which literally sucks up the excess oil in my pores and helps to draw out impurities wthout overdrying my skin.

Have you tried any of these skincare products?
