Sunday night pampering & a quick mini facial

Whew! I don't know about you, but it's been a crazy week around here. It's summer break, the kids are home, we just got back from our family vacation, and my house looks like a bomb went off inside it. To say that I haven't had a lot of time for myself lately would be an understatement. One look at myself in the mirror said it all- I had bags under my eyes, dry patches of skin, and remnants from the makeup I applied two days before (and skipped washing off at night- oops). By Sunday night I was ready for some serious "me time," Luckily, I had a few spare minutes for a quick, mini-facial and a bit of pampering for my skin with some new Bioré® products.

I started off by using a makeup removing wipe to finally take off all those layers of makeup I had caked on my face. Normally, I'm really good about washing my face each night before bed, but sometimes things happen and I end up hitting the pillow with a full face still on. Bad, I know, but that's reality when you have 3 kids. So the makeup came off, and it was time to commence pampering.

I decided to try the new Bioré® Self Heating One Minute Mask first, because seriously, who doesn't have 1 minute? This mask is awesome! It contains natural charcoal, which is known for its ability to draw out and impurities, and it purifies your pores 2.5 times better than a basic cleanser in just 60 seconds. It has a uniquely oil-free formula that heats on contact to open up your pores and remove the dirt and oil that clogs them up. The warming sensation is so weird yet soothing, and I could really feel the mask going to work as I massaged it all over my face. Normally, you'd have to sit with a mask on for 10-15 minutes, but the Bioré® Self Heating One Minute Mask eliminates the wait time. When the minute was up, I rinsed off the mask with cool water and patted my face dry. My skin felt so refreshed!

After the Bioré® Self Heating One Minute Mask, I decided to try out one of the new Bioré® Deep Cleansing Charcoal Pore Strips. Now, these pore strips have been around since I was a young teen, and they've always been one of my favorites. I just love peeling the strips off my nose and seeing all of the gross gunky buildup that came out of my pores. It might seem gross to some people, but I love it! Bioré® has taken their iconic strip and added natural charcoal to unclog pores and draw out dirt and oil that clogs up pores and cause blackheads. This is the deepest way to clean your pores, and in just 10 minutes you can get rid of a week's worth of buildup. The charcoal also helps to reduce shine and keeps oil at bay for 24 hours, which is always a plus for someone like me with oily skin.

As per the instructions for the Bioré® Deep Cleansing Charcoal Pore Strips, I wet my nose, peeled off the plastic liner on the strip, and then applied it to my nose with the smooth side down. I like to make sure it has good contact with every little crevice (you don't want to miss any pores), so I spent a few extra seconds smoothing it down with my fingertips. Let the strip dry- it will feel stiff like papier-mâché when it's ready, and then slowly peel it off. This is the best part! Make sure you get really close to the mirror so you can see all of the gunk come out of your pores.

No makeup selfies! Be kind  :)
Say hello to beautiful, clear skin.
