    Easy Back-to-School Dinner: Mini Pizzas!

    views

It’s the usual dilemma any mom would face whenever their kids go back to school: their evenings have become a blur, and dinnertime has been creeping upon them. Between after-school snacks, tons of homework, and many household chores, dinner has become somewhat of a free-for-all lately. Although not all American moms experience this kind of situation, they may have faced it in one way or another.

Thankfully, there are easy-to-prepare dinners that have every mom’s back. Have you read about the one-pot spaghetti and actually tried the recipe? Good, isn’t it? But here’s another dinner idea that’s even a lot quicker: mini pizzas!

With the help of Pillsbury Grands! Flaky Layers biscuits, you can make fast and easy-to-make mini pizzas! Preparing dinner becomes quick, and these mini-pizzas will indeed become a delicious hit with your kids!

Well, we mean, we all know about the pizza’s allure with the little ones. We have yet to meet a kid who doesn’t like pizzas.

And with these pizzas’ cute sizes, kids can’t resist from coming back for more.

    Ingredients:

    • One (1) canister (16.3 oz) Pillsbury Grands! Flaky Layers biscuits
    • One (1) cup pizza sauce
    • Two (2) cups shredded mozzarella cheese, eight ounces (8 oz)
    • One (1) package (3.5 oz) sliced pepperoni

    Directions:

    1. Press each biscuit into six-inch (6”) round shapes.
    2. Place on two large or three small greased cookie sheets.
    3. Top each biscuit round with pizza sauce, cheese, and pepperoni.
    4. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 375°F for 10-15 minutes or until the bottoms become deep golden brown and the cheese appears bubbly.
    5. Take these cute little pizzas out of the oven, serve, and enjoy!

They’re best enjoyed when fresh out of the oven with all the gooey cheese.

This recipe will surprise you because it makes a lot of pizzas. For every canister of Pillsbury Grands, you can make about eight mini-pizzas!

Aside from being a great quick dinner fix, you can make these as school box lunches. They will also undoubtedly be a hit for birthday parties, sleepovers, video game parties, or any occasion where you need to satisfy your kids’ appetites quickly and easily. You can add other kinds of toppings as you wish – ground meat, bell peppers, pineapples, basil, olives, etc. Or you can make three- or four-cheese mini pizzas. It’s all up to you.

One of the great things about Pillsbury Grands biscuits is that there’s virtually no clean-up afterward – a significant bonus for every mom on a busy school night. All they have to do is wash the cookie sheet, and voila! They now have a clean kitchen, and the kids are full and ready to start on their homework (yay!).

If you’re looking for other great Pillsbury Grands recipes, search on the Internet – there are loads of them! All of these recipes are quick, easy, kid-friendly and can be made in thirty minutes or even less! These recipes are perfect for busy mothers with school-age children.
