Lacking motivation

Tuesday, August 27, 2013

Do you ever have these kind of days? I feel like I'm having that kind of week. I have a to-do list three miles long and a house to pack up. So you'd think I'd be busying myself with the errands I should be running and the boxes I should be filling, but instead I'm doing this.

Sitting at my computer, eating an entire sleeve of Nutter Butters, drinking milk out of a Christmas mug (because that's the only thing I can find), and watching clips of The Real Housewives of Orange County's reunion show. Why? Who knows. I don't get Bravo anymore so I don't follow the show. But I'm easily distracted and it looked dramatic. I also have 2 nails missing gel polish and I can't stop staring at them. I'm fighting the urge to sit down and redo my nails right now, because I know that would be silly to waste and hour and a half on nails that are just going to get messed up again from all the packing I should be doing.

It's just that packing is so boring.
I tried getting the kids to help me, but they weren't interested.
Lily preferred to lay on her bed and watch me.

Though she was a great little helper when it came to pulling nails.

I guess I have gotten a little bit done, but not as much as I should.
Someone tell me to get off my lazy butt and get moving!

Hopefully I'll find some motivation somewhere...

  1. Packing and moving are the worst! It's so stressful! :(

  2. Caffeine was TOTALLY my bestie today. I didn't get everything done on my list, but I was super productive. I'll send some of my energetic vibes your way. ;)

  3. Today was the day that I didn't want to do anything!

  4. I have those days lots of days! That is why I'm always last minute on everything I do.
Good luck finding some motivation. Packing is not an easy job

  5. Please do! I finally made progress yesterday but now I don't want to do anything again

  6. I hate how you have to time it all. You can't just pack everything- you have to plan & pack certain things first & keep other things out until the last minute. I just want to dump it all in boxes & call it good!

  7. Adding kids to the mix makes it harder! Eating, playing, dirtying things...the messes don't stop even with half your stuff in boxes.

I love hearing what you have to say! Comments make me happy.
