Weekend Wrap Up

Can you believe it's Monday again already?

I happen to love Mondays, which I'm sure you people will find crazy. Monday is like my Friday because my husband works weekends and is off on Tuesday-Thursday, so today actually marks the end of the week in my own little world I live in.

It's time for a little recap of what went on (on and off the blog) this week:

Last week I mentioned the internet problems I was experiencing with my ISP. Well, we had more of that this week, which left me without internet again for a few days, much to my dismay.

However, it ended up being a huge blessing in disguise because I seem to have missed out on a bit of drama in blog land in just the two days I was without internet. Apparently lots of bloggers were mad and hurt and were fighting with each other over some email & new website announcement. It blew up into a huge mess with people tweeting each other nasty things and plenty of name calling and finger pointing happened. I don't even know any of the details really and I'm not interested in catching up on what I missed either.

I shared one of my favorite cookie recipes on the blog

We went to the library and the kids picked out some good books! Ayden is starting The Lightening Thief all on his own and he got the audiobook for The Chamber of Secrets (which he'll listen to/read at night). Lily got some books with audio CDs to listen to to help practice learning to read.

My little bookworms.

I sat & read this book obsessively all week. It was so good!
(#2 in the series)

I hosted another week of Things I {don't} Love.

On Thursday my husband and I celebrated 7 years of marriage!
That's a decade that we've been together now.

I joined in on a Twitter chat co-hosted by one of my favorite bloggers, Mandi, from Vintage Revivals. After the chat I noticed she was following me now & it made me a little giddy :) Does anyone else do that when someone you're a fan of follows you back?

Lily found some pretty flowers blooming while riding around our neighborhood.

We've had some pretty crazy rainstorms lately (what else is new) but on Saturday I knew we'd see a rainbow. I was right! It was so pretty and happened right before sunset so the sky was turning pink.

And my Erin Condren planner came in the mail! If you recall, I won a gift card from a blog giveaway so I finally got to order my dream planner. Once I get this baby organized I might have to do a review on it. So far, I'm loving it.

I hope you all had a great week!

  2. Internet drama is worse than high school drama. I'm a spectator at that sport. I'd rather not get involved.

It's refreshing to know that people still go to the library! That used to be such a fun trip for me as a kid. I remember my mom limiting me to the number of books I could take home because I wanted so many!

    Pretty rainbow picture!
