Things I {don't} Love

Thursday, April 4, 2013

It's Thursday!
That means it's almost Friday.
Which means we've made it through another busy week.

It's time for Things I {don't} Love.
Where you can vent, rant, rage, or just complain a little about what's been bugging you.

Simply right up your own post on what you're not loving and link it up below. Then hop around and take a peek at what others have linked up. It's a lot of fun! And a great way to meet some fun new people.

All I ask is that you use a button or link back to me in some way.

Here's what I'm currently not loving this week:

Lack luster season finales. I won't spoil anything for anyone who hasn't watched it (slow pokes!) but I wasn't super impressed. It wasn't as big as they made it out to be and some questions were still left unanswered. And you-know-who's death was super predictable and kind of just annoying. I was expecting way more at the very end and it was a pretty big let down after being psyched up about it!

Parents with way too much help complaining about not having any. This one really gets at me because my husband and I have absolutely zero help with our kids, besides each other. We don't have Grandma & Grandpa here to help us...they all live over 7 hours away. My son recently had a sleepover at a friend's house for the first time and I did the math- it had been about 3 years since he had last been away from me over night. Three years! Yet most parents I know get to send their kid off to Grandma & Grandpa's house just about every weekend, often for overnight stays. It must be nice! I don't want to hear about how you're in such need of a break and how no one ever helps you when I haven't had a night off to myself in three years. Insert eye rolling here!

Spiders. Enough said. This guy scared me half to death when I went to get into the shower the other day. Look how big it is!!!

It's your turn to link up your own Things I {don't} Love post!

Make sure to follow me on Twitter too and tweet me what you're not loving.

  1. O.M.G. That is one GINORMOUS spider. I become violent with spiders when my husband isn't around to dispose of them for me. Boots are thrown. Hairspray is sprayed. I'd need to call for back up with something that size. Eww.

  2. Blehhh spider!!

    Walking Dead was super disappointing!!

  3. That is a HUGE spider! I hate bugs of all kinds. When we first moved into our house we had a lot o spiders. It freaked me out. The house had been vacant for almost a year so we expected some bugs but expecting some and finding some are two different thing! Especially when there big and creepy and crawly lol.

In Louisiana we had tons of help. I had to attach an additional piece of paper to Noah's form for who could pick him up from school. I really miss that! By Wednesday the grandparents were calling to see if Noah had plans for the weekend yet. It was nice to have a break. NOW we have no one. It makes it a lot harder. I can tell Noah could use a break from us now and then lol. I'm even worrying about what we will do when the baby is born. If we were in LA he could stay with lots of people while we are at the hospital. I'm thinking I'll ask our neighbor. Her daughter is in Noah's class and they play together a lot. Our neighbors are super nice but it's just different when it's not a family member =(

  4. That spider is HUGE! Yikes!

  5. I get frustrated with un-grateful people as well. They don't realize how much help they get and sometimes take advantage of that! It was hard when we lived away from family, so I try so hard to be grateful when I do get help!

Plus I agree with everyone else, that's a huge spider.

  6. Holy shnikes that spider is the devil! LOL I just wanted to say hello and found you at Messy Dirty Hair's blog post today about keeping true to yourself and do what you love with your blogging...I am a new blogger and really admire what you contributed to it. I love meeting new friends and excited to follow along!!

    Xo have a lovely weekend!

    Dinah @ sunshine super glam

  7. That spider! I would have been a screaming mess!

  8. Before Texas I would have thought that was HUGE! Here we have what they call "house spiders". The first one I saw was outside thankfully but it was the size of half a brick on our house! I looked like a crazy person swinging my broom around killing it... And I may have screamed! Lol

I love hearing what you have to say! Comments make me happy.
