Influenster Holiday VoxBox 2012

I was so excited when I was notified a few weeks ago that I'd be receiving my first VoxBox from Influenster.

I was so excited to try out all of the goodies they sent me! It was really hard not to read other VoxBox reviews before I got my own because I wanted to be surprised. Well, mine took a little extra time getting to me, and when it did, it looked like this:
Unfortunately my box was damaged when it arrived in my mailbox (through no fault of Influenster, of course). I'm not sure what happened but it looks like it was sliced open with a razor blade. Everything was wet on the inside and two of the items were actually ruined and had to be thrown away. Those items were the EBOOST powdered drink mix and a facial mask. Despite being bummed about the two missing products I was still excited to check out the rest of the stuff.

Here's what was left in my VoxBox:

Goody QuickStyle Brush with absorbent microfiber bristles
I wasn't so sure about this brush at first. In fact, I kind of snickered and tossed it aside, thinking I'd try to remember to give it a try on my 4 year old daughter's hair after her bath. I did use it on her, and I must say I was impressed. This brush is awesome. It really did help to dry her hair quite a bit, and it was super gentle on her tender little head. The brush I received is the half-round shaped one and I want to buy the paddle version of this brush to try out on myself (since I have curly hair that I blow dry straight). I'm excited to try it out on myself! I will definitely update you all when I do.

I knew right away that I would like this stuff. I'm a sucker for the little Quaker packets of instant oatmeal (so are my kids), so when I saw that this was a whole grain version I was pumped. I'm on a little health kick right now so I could definitely use some whole grains in the morning. I got the peach almond flavor and it was pretty good. I also want to try the summer berry and apple walnut flavors.

Kiss Nail Dress
I've been wanting to try these for awhile now but wasn't sure if they were worth the money. I got these really cute black and gold jeweled ones that I think will look really cute on me. I'm just waiting for an opportunity to wear them! I don't want to just wear them around the house while I clean and take care of the kids.
Check out all of these other styles they have too:

NYC New York Color Liquid Lipshine
This lipgloss is probably my favorite thing out of the whole box. I was really excited because right away I knew I would love color I got. It's called Nude York City, and it really is the perfect nude color. It's not too orange-y, which I love. Most nude lip colors that I buy end up looking orange on me because I'm so pale. It's not sticky either, and you won't get those gritty sparkle granule thingies on your lips when you wear it. I normally detest sparkly lip gloss because of that, but The NYC gloss goes on really smooth and doesn't get dry or sticky.

And last, but not least, there's this from Sole Society:
Influenster members and friends can use the promo code INFLUENSTER25 and get $25 off your first pair of shoes from Sole Society. This offer expires 1/31, so act quickly to get your discount.

I'm really excited to use all of my new stuff some more and update you guys on my thoughts later. Thank you Influenster for this opportunity!

Disclosure: As a member of Influenster, occasionally I am sent products complimentary for testing purposes from Influenster. As always, all opinions on the products I received are my own.
