Bout of Books Goals!

My bloggy BFF Sarah over at Fortune Favors is a huge bookworm. I mean, the girl reads a ton. I used to think that I read a lot until I met this lady. Anyway, she's participated in this thing called Bout of Books before and blogged about it. It sounded fun and I told her I'd love to do it some time, and that time has come!
Bout of Books Read-a-Thon

 Here's the deal:

The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda @ On a Book Bender and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal. It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, January 7th and runs through Sunday, January 13th in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure, and the only reading competition is between you and your usual number of books read in a week. There are challenges, giveaways, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional. For all Bout of Books 6.0 information and updates, be sure to visit the Bout of Books blog. -From the Bout of Books 6.0 team

Goals for Bout of Books:
  • Read 150 pages per day.
  •  Finish 3 books.
  • Participate in at least 1 Twitter chat
  • Meet some new blogger friends who love to read!

 The books I'll be reading:
  • Talented by Sophie Davis
  • Glitch by Heather Anastasiu
  • Matched by Allie Condie

Kinda weird that they are all one word titles written by female authors. I'm hoping these are all as good as I've heard they are. I'm so excited to get started, and I'm hoping this will motivate me to read more because I've been slacking from over the holidays.
Add me on GoodReads and we can be nerds together.

  5. Hi! I found you via Aloha Blog Hop. I love the idea of this. I'm such a book nerd, but this would kind of make me read stuff other than for marketing and book promotion--which is what I've been reading a lot of lately. Can I join in? I'm definitely going to follow your blog, you talk about some interesting ways of networking.Check out my blog if you'd like: penpaperpad.com. Aloha!
