Starbucks Caramel Brulée Latte – A Great Holiday Drink!

Attention, coffee lovers: while Starbucks may be the most popular coffee chain in the country, a surprisingly significant number of people don’t like its coffee. According to them, Starbucks’ coffee tastes too bitter and almost burnt.

So, while it’s safe to say that not all Americans are huge Starbucks coffee fans, otherwise can be stated about its seasonal beverages. People are looking forward to see what’s new about Starbucks’ seasonal drinks, especially during Thanksgiving and Christmas. And they love it!

One of the favorite Starbucks seasonal drinks is the Caramel Brulée Latte. You may be or may not be guilty of ordering one almost every single day in November and December. If you’re curious what’s in the drink, it basically consists of Starbucks’ signature espresso, steamed milk, and rich caramel brulée sauce. It’s then topped with whipped cream and more of the caramel brulée. Like most Starbucks drinks, Caramel Brulée Latte is available hot, iced, and Frappuccino. It’s so sinfully delicious. If you are a big, big fan of caramel, you will definitely swear by this drink!

But let’s admit it, it’s quite a price to pay for a grande. Luckily, there’s an easy recipe for this coffee concoction that you can make at home.

Suppose the holidays are still months away and you’re still craving for Starbucks’ Caramel Brulée Latte. In that case, you can recreate its signature flavor anytime you want by following this (not-so-secret) recipe:

Directions:

  1. Drizzle two (2) tablespoons of caramel sauce around the inside of your mug or glass.
  2. Add one to two (1-2) ounces of Torani vanilla syrup.
  3. Add two to four (1-4) espresso or strongly brewed coffee.
  4. Fill the rest of the mug or glass with about eight to ten (8-10) ounces of steamed milk.
  5. Stir and enjoy!

Disclaimer: the measurements are not exact because they could vary depending on your mug or glass size and how strong or milky you like your lattes. It also depends if you like your latte hot, cold, or ice-blended. In this case, this recipe uses a reasonably large mug and double shots of espresso. You can also adjust the caramel and vanilla to your preferred sweetness, of course.

You can also use coffee beans from shops other than Starbucks unless you still prefer the bitter Starbucks blend. And the best of all? It’s a fraction of the cost, and it probably tastes way better than the original Starbucks one.
