Copycat Recipe: Starbucks Caramel Brulee Latte {Holiday Drink!}

I have a confession.
I'm not a huge Starbucks fan.
I've had so many people look at me like I'm crazy when I've said that, but it's true! Sorry Sbux fans but I think their coffee is too bitter & sometimes burnt tasting.

I do, however, enjoy their seasonal holiday beverages!
 My favorite has to be the Caramel Brulee Latte one, and I may or may not be guilty of buying one almost every single day in November & December. (At $4.45 for a grande I don't even want to think of what the math is on that).

Luckily I did some researching and figured out what exactly is in the caramel brulee latte that gives it it's signature flavor. It's not just caramel, because I've had a caramel latte before.

Here's the {not so}secret ingredients:
Lulu & Sweet Pea

It's vanilla syrup and caramel sauce (like caramel ice cream topping).
Here's how you can make your own at home:

1. Drizzle 2 Tbsp caramel sauce around inside of mug
2. Add 1-2oz of Torani vanilla syrup
3. Add 2-4oz espresso or strongly brewed coffee
4. Fill the rest of the mug with about 8-10oz of steamed milk.
Stir & enjoy!

These measurements are not exact because they could vary depending on the size of the drink you make & how strong you like your lattes. I used a fairly large mug & I like double shots, so I probably used the larger measurements from above. You can also adjust the vanilla & caramel to your desired sweetness too, of course.

The first one I made tasted exactly like the ones at Starbucks, except I used my favorite brand of coffee so it wasn't as bitter. So all in all, I think my version is better! And it's a fraction of the cost. Can't beat that.
